The Museum of History of Madrid, Old Municipal Museum, is located in the central district of the capital of Spain, in Fuencarral Street. It occupies the building of the Real Hospice of San Fernando, built in the eighteenth century by the architect Pedro de Ribera in Estilobarroco. The main façade is considered one of the most representative works of the Spanish civil Baroque. The museum is conceived as a complete tour of the history of Madrid since it was declared the capital of Spain in the 16th century.
